I'm using latest stable egw, using LDAP as account storage, the same ldap
tree used for POSIX and samba data.
1) in the next version the need to use the same ``numberspace'' for UID
and GID will cease?
2) i need to impose password expirations; i've done a little script to
``sync'' samba and POSIX expiration times in the LDAP tree, will egw have
some additional logic to handle this expiration or i've to tackle my script
to sync also egroupware expiration? ;-)
3) now if i setup group membership in egw, they are ``propagated'' to LDAP
(really: stored in egw_acl table and copied on ldap); good.
Could be the converse also be possible, eg every time a user login egw readup
membership from LDAP and ``sync'' it with egw_acl?
The rationale of all this question is that i need to manage LDAP data with
different tool (smbldap-tools, GQ, ...) without the need to fire up egw
admin interface and redone all the job. ;)
