plugin with the emacs-like keybindings
Logged In: YES
I have nothing against adding such key bindings but there are two things worth noticing :
* I've never used emacs so I have no idea what this bindings are
* This won't be done using a plugin but by modifying QCodeEdit
If you provide me with proper docs about this bindings I may do something but it won't be a high priority item.
If you are willing to write some code to get these bindings in your help is welcome and I'll do my best to assist
I put a bit of work on this issue today and I'm pleased to announce that QCodeEdit and Edyuk are ready for this (and for more, e.g. Vi-like editing but that's another matter).
If you wish to help please checkout the latest sources from the Subversion repository. What's needed is just to fill in the event handlers in src/plugins/vimacs/emacs.cpp and this fairly easy.
The return value of each of these event handler indicate whether the event has been eaten by the input binding and should not be processed by the "default" binding (i.e. QEditor event handlers).
If however implementing these event handers is too hard please provide proper user doc so that someone else may do it (a readable list of most useful bindings for instance).
