Some of you might have noticed that the Subversion link has been removed from the SourceForge page. This is because I've migrated it over to Git.
For those of you who do not know what Git is you can check out some info at http://git.or.cz/.
You can now download the latest revision at:
git clone git://source.mbrio.org/eddt.git
The premise of the original eddt was to be a Python IDE, but now it currently is a file browsing plugin for Gedit. This will allow for Gedit to view files and folders in a side panel.
So I'm nearing an initial release, I am looking to finish up the search and replace functionality before the release so hopefully there will be a release up tomorrow or early next week.
I am quite happy with how the application is panning out, quite a lot is completed including including a project explorer, preferences, tabbing and commenting groups of lines, and much more.
I've begun development on eddt just recently. It is my first endeavor into the open source community, and hope it to not be my last.
I've been a big supporter of open software and felt it about time a begin giving back to the community that I use in my everyday work.
According to plans the first functioning release will be version 0.4.0. This will contain absolutely no settings, it will allow for editing python code in a tabbed environment with a project browser and syntax highlighting.
