In the last weeks I have seen several times that the test farm for ECL was not working properly, but nevertheless the log file was still being produced with everything ok.

It turns out that it is just too complicated to have a farm of machines, each one running its own tests based on some local configuration file and some local schedule. For this reason I have had to redesign the way tests are run, so that they are controlled from my main server.

That is not easy, specially because some test boxes sit deep inside other networks and chaining "ssh" commands can be mind bogling, but everything seems to be working fine right now.

The only tests that remain "scheduled" are the Windows ones. The problem is that I am using Cygwin's ssh server and it seems utterly impossible to execute a mingw or MSVC build from it -- it pollutes the environment, installs DLLs or does something that breaks everything --. I hope I can find a replacement for that.

I will be conducting further tests today and then, some time throughout the weekend, produce the 10.4.1 release of ECL.
