Hi Tobias, yes indeed I remember this. Unfortunately it is not a problem of making a wrapper for run-program but rather auditing the compiler to force it to actually *use* run-program. The compiler right now relies on sys:system which takes a string, not a list of arguments. Changing this to use run-program is tricky because this string may right now contain arguments in various forms (single/double quotes, spaces, #\\, etc) and I am pretty reluctant to touch it right now -- it will come, eventually, when I factor the code that drives compilation / linking to reuse it in both compilers.
