If I put the SQLExplorer site 'http://eclipsesql.sourceforge.net/' into the
Help --> Software Updates --> Find and Install --> Search for new features to install
and select this new entry, the answer is
No features found on the selected sites. ...

If I uncheck the selection 'Ignore features not applicable to this environment' I get
a search result an can install the SQLExplorer extension. But when I restart Eclipse
it is not in the list of installed extensions and therefor not usable.

My environment is a standard Ubuntu 7.04 Eclipse installation. What is the reason, why this extension
is 'not applicable for this environment'?

    regards  Volker

Try downloading the plugin and unpack it into your eclipse directory and then restart eclipse; that should get you going for the moment.

      Cheers,

I also encounter this problem, on Ubuntu 7.10 and Eclipse
I installed the plugin from the zip file, but it would be easier to get it directly from Eclipse. ;)

      Best Regards,
      Emilien

    • Hej all,

first thank you everybody involved in that. Good Job!

It would be a fine thing to have that automated installation and update working.....
