    having just reentered the preferences, i have a few suggestions:

    1. compiler flags: the list with the options to tick is very good and quick. i have some uncertainty what is behind each of the tick marks. would it be a good idea to add in parenthesis the name of the corresponding ghc flag? this would connect to the ghc manual and not require more documentation.

    2. if no compiler exe is set, the command 'run ghci' has no effect (no error message hinting what is wrong).

    3. if automatic compilation is not turned on, no compiler output appears (there is a help text about switching it on in compiler preferences - perhaps add also a comment about automatic compilation)

    nothing important, just small steps which might help when one is starting!

      It's in the tooltip. I have also thought about giving the option name, but some of them are pretty long and I would not get them all on the pref page ;-) Maybe it would be a good idea if I would add a hint to the top of the page, about the tooltip?

      Yes, definitely. I'll add a message here.

      Good idea too, will add that too :-)

      Thanks && ciao,
