In order to be able to be able to generate reports in a non-intrusive way in build process, it would be useful to provide ability to invoke and configure the "report" task from command-line.
It's basically about adding "expressions" annotations to the Mojo.

+1 for this. I constantly would run mvn clean cobertura:cobertura to run my report without having to run the full site.

  • Hi Mickael,

my I ask you to provide a separate patch for this feature request only? It looks like this is a "quick win" we can easily adopt for the next release.

    Cheers,

  • Already possible (at least with latest JaCoCo 0.5.10) to execute "report" goal from command-line as "mvn clean test jacoco:report". So I suppose that this ticket is primarily about configuring parameters for "report" goal via command-line. But this raises question - which parameters do you want to tune, because there is not so much parameters? Moreover I didn't found this in a patch for https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3474708&group_id=177969&atid=883354

So I close this ticket. But in case if you would like to clarify which parameters should be configurable, feel free to create new ticket at https://github.com/jacoco/jacoco/issues

BTW we will introduce new goal "check" which IMO should be more usable from command-line than "report" - https://github.com/jacoco/jacoco/issues/6
