New workflow engine in ebills V1.15

Version 1.15 of ebills has an associated Beta of a workflow engine (v1.15.1).

ebills provides a range of billing functions and more recently some powerful customer management functions. It works particularly well when integrated with a client web site.

This release is a major feature upgrade with the launch of a Beta Test workflow engine written in C. This feature runs as a background task and automates a series of reminders and reports. The system is fully configurable through a control file.
Includes alerts, workflow reminders, workflow reports and late payment reminders.

The ebills web server is written in PHP with MySQL and incorporates a range of very effective features. It is very relevant to businesses that send repeat invoices (e.g. for software licences) and those requiring fast ad-hic bills (e.g. contractors or design agencies).

NOTE: The workflow engine is in Beta test and available to evaluate and provide feedback. No documentation is included, but questions should be raised on the ebills-developers list.

The workflow engine and V1.15 of the web server must be downloaded separately. There is one patch script to update database tables from previous releases.
