It's fully skinnable. Focus it on your city and watch the night slowly move in. Focus it on other cities to see what's up. It's like a gift to your desktop.

XeNTaX, the leading producer of software that hogs your CPU and clutters your desktop, once again stuns the world with a new release of EarthClock.

EarthClock 1.4 features a new layering system that allows for some pretty (and sometimes even useful!) effects. It also promises to be less CPU expensive, although there's a slightly larger memory footprint :-(

Again, this release is Windows XP and 2000 only. Other platforms are not supported, though it may work here and there.

Xentax proudly announces the latest breakthrough in EarthClock technology. Okay not really a breakthrough but pretty cool nonetheless ;-)

EarthClock 1.3 has many improvements and fixes. Shortcuts have been added to get views and skins off the web. Other improvements are: online version check, more views added to installer (LA, NY and Tokyo), skin installer for easy skin installation, significantly improved error handling and reduced crashing. The website now contains skins you can download and install, as well as instructions on how to add a webcam to your views.

Like the last one, this release is Windows only (XP and 2000, not tested on 98). The source code however, appears to run on Mac OSX.
