what is the right value of badblocks' -block-size option when checking an hard disk or an usb flash drive? i think the right value is 512 (which corresponds to the hardware block size), but i'd like to have a confirmation. what if i check a cdrom/dvdrom? should i set it to 2048? it seems not to work if i do so (i get badblocks: invalid block size - lock-size)...
i'm sorry... the last error was caused by having written -block-size 2048 instead of -b 2048...
