In one special situation, EPIC Editor has a problem to detect the beginning of a regular expression correctly.

When either the split-call is written using brackets or the regex is initiated with 'm', EPIC Editor detects the expression correctly:

split( /,/, $var );
split m/,/, $var;

    This does not seem to be confined to regular expressions. Here's another use of a slash that breaks syntax highlighting:

    $directory = '/' unless $directory;

    Sorry. Please forget my last comment. I was wrong.
