versions: tried both 2.0 and 1.8.x

getting:

STAT: VOBU 2769 at 879MB, 22 PGCs
ERR: Cannot infer pts for VOBU if there is no audio or video and it is the
ERR: first VOBU.
Failed

when trying to burn DVD.

Experiments show that it fails on title that was cut using DVDStyler UI at the begining.
It can be well observed in the project file:

<pgc>
<vob file="G:\Petr\Films\Vecernicky\Krtecek\Krtek a fletna.mpg">
<video format="1" interlaced="1" firstField="-1"/>
<audio format="1"/>
</vob>
</pgc>

is OK,

While

<pgc>
<vob recordingTime="295.000000" startTime="8.000000" file="G:\Petr\Films\Vecernicky\Krtecek\Krtek a fletna.mpg">
<video format="1" interlaced="1" firstField="-1"/>
<audio format="1"/>
</vob>
</pgc>

leads to above failure.

    configuration: core: use mplex = false

    mplex = true

    fails with

    INFO: [mplex] BUFFERING min 67 Buf max 7843
    **ERROR: [mplex] MUX STATUS: Frame data under-runs detected!
    Failed

    during Transcode/remultiplex phase. The failing title is not the same as the one during DVD creation.

    1. It looks that setting of start time doesn't work without reencoding some times. Please select PAL/NTSC instead of Copy in video properties.
    2. Unfortunately, mplex don't like some mpeg files. And this was a reason, why it's disabled by default.

    Hearing that reencoding is needed I cut externally to dvdstyler (but 'duplicating' files). It worked.

    Anyway for sake of completeness I tried suggested dvdstyler trick. The project file video format changed:

    <pgc>
    <vob startTime="111.000000" file="G:\Petr\Films\Vecernicky\Krtecek\Krtek a fletna.mpg">
    <video format="2"/>
    <audio format="1"/>
    </vob>
    <post>call last menu;</post>
    </pgc>

    but DVD authoring still fails.

    I tried with a mini project help.dvds file:

    The error varies.

    I'm sorry for not checking the details upfront.

    The error "ERR: Cannot find PGC with entry ptt" means that you need to select one of menus as chapters menu in menu properties (ptt=chapters). Actually DVDStyler 2.0 must display this error message before starting of DVD generating.
    And it seems you cannot use "Copy" (<video format="1"/> ) and start time together -> in some of case it causes the error: ERR: first VOBU.
    In next version I plan to disable selection of start time if "Copy" is selected.

    FYI, I do not have any menu, I let DVD styler generate missing one. The error "ERR: Cannot find PGC with entry ptt" appears with concuction with customized start time and PAL transcoding. If there is no customized start time it passes. So it could be intoduced by the transcoding....
