On 04.02.11 Sven Over pressed the following keys: > I have one small improvement for dvdauthor: with this patch applied, you can > give the filenames for input VOB files (and also palette files) as '&<num>', > where <num> is the number of a file descriptor. For example > > <vob file="&5"> The patch is great, and I only have one remark: if already dvdauthor recognizes last filename character as special in case of program pipes (i.e. <vob file="blahblah|">) then why not changing also this to <vob file="5&"> ? I know, that it is inconsistent with shell FD naming, but it would be more consistent IMO with dvdauthor conventions. (imaginary entry in docs) If last character of _file_ is "|" then _file_ is a program which is run and its stdout is used instead. If last character is "&" then _file_ is a number of file descriptor to read. Anyway, just my .02pln Robert -- Robert R.
