The property has moved now to enable sharing (as it is now possible to set/get the LNB settings from within DVBStreamer). Use "setprop adapter.lnb.sharing true" to enable LNB sharing. Cheers Adam |

As far as I understand a little C code, you set this like adapter property and send to adapter, thus happened this: 2010-05-25 12:42:34 | DVBAdapter | 3 | InputDispatcher | Tuning to 12647000 Tune FE_SET_PROPERTY: Invalid argument 2010-05-25 12:42:34 | DVBAdapter | 0 | InputDispatcher | Tune FE_SET_PROPERTY: Invalid argument 2010-05-25 12:42:34 | DVBAdapter | 0 | InputDispatcher | errno = 22 (Invalid argument) and there is no stream. A sample from getstream source code: if (adapter->fe.dvbs.lnbsharing) { int value=SEC_TONE_OFF; logwrite(LOG_DEBUG, "fe: Adapter %d lnb-sharing active - trying to turn off", adapter->no); if (ioctl(adapter->fe.fd, FE_SET_TONE, value) < 0) { logwrite(LOG_ERROR, "fe: Adapter %d ioctl FE_SET_TONE failed - %s", adapter->no, strerror(errno)); } value=SEC_VOLTAGE_OFF; if (ioctl(adapter->fe.fd, FE_SET_VOLTAGE, value) < 0) { if (errno == EINVAL) { logwrite(LOG_DEBUG, "fe: Adapter %d SEC_VOLTAGE_OFF not possible", adapter->no); if (ioctl(adapter->fe.fd, FE_SET_VOLTAGE, voltage) < 0) { logwrite(LOG_ERROR, "fe: Adapter %d ioctl FE_SET_VOLTAGE failed - %s", adapter->no, strerror(errno)); } } } So, take my first question as feature request: Add command or parameter to disable adapter tone and voltage. :) Ivan |

Hi Is there settings to disable tone and voltage control on adapter ? This is in case I use multiple adapters with one lnb, so called lnb sharing. In an old project - "getstream", there is setting lnb-sharing yes or no. Sorry for my bad English. |

Yesterday my sat provider changed some services and I noticed this: when I select primary service for ex. If I first scan a mux with command for example "scan 1", all is ok. If I change transponder parameters directly in the database and run a scan - all is ok. But if I run a second scan on same mux without changing the parameters: dvbstreamer[5599]: segfault at 0 ip 0000000000427339 sp 00007f7966f94e68 error 4 in dvbstreamer[400000+46000] Last lines from logfile: 2010-04-23 11:59:48 | PMTProcessor | 3 | InputDispatcher | PMT recieved, version 1 on PID 271 2010-04-23 11:59:48 | Events | 4 | InputDispatcher | Firing event MPEG2.PMT Same behavior on svn_trunk and 2.0.0rc1 |

Just a quick email to say that I've uploaded a release candidate for 2.0.0 and the first release of the new python bindings for dvbstreamer. For more information on both of these see my blog post about it here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/dvbstreamer/ Cheers Adam |

Hello Adam, I found renewed (at least I think so) project sasc-ng as a part of vdr-sc now (http://85.17.209.13:6100/sc). I use dvbstreamer in freevo and it is the best for recording and watching dvb, but unfortunately did not get dvbstreamer working with virtual dvb adapter. Is there a way to make dvbstreamer work with virtual dvb adapter? I can send logs if needed. Thanks! Reggie |

Hi. There was no definition for uint32 (it's not defined in sys/types.h and neither in stdint.h) So I used uint32_t So it reads now uint32_t ifreq=0 I don't know whether it is equal but it solved the problem ( I did a initial scan and also selected some channels) If this is really related to glibc: I use the following version (ubuntu karmic standard installation). This is the output from /lib/libc.so.6 GNU C Library (EGLIBC) stable release version 2.10.1, by Roland McGrath et al. Compiled by GNU CC version 4.4.1. Hello. I attached all the things you said. I also installed a debugging glibc to give you the full output including all system calls. The interesting thing is, that I commented out line 194 in dvb.c (dvbstreamer version 1.1). That was where the program started to segfault. The line reads LogModule(LOG_ERROR, DVBADAPTER, "setfront front: %s\n", strerror(errno)); After that dvbstreamer did an complete initial scan, although there were errors in dmesg ( DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 0 out of range (950000..2150000)) and so on. Maybe there is a Problem in the LogModule function. Hello everyone. I wanted to install dvbstreamer on ubuntu karmic koala. After I scanned my satellite channels via scan -l UNIVERSAL -s /usr/share/dvb/dvb-s/Astra-19.2E > channels.conf I wanted to use the channels in dvbstreamer. I used setupdvbstreamer -l UNIVERSAL -s channels.conf No problem so far. It told me about 2000 services were available. Then I wanted to initialize dvbstreamer with dvbstreamer. After some time (I think randomly) it segfaults. I See the following in dmesg [ 3348.070061] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 2681896736 out of range (950000..2150000) [ 3348.070509] dvbstreamer[4916]: segfault at ffff80c6115481d3 ip 00007f39ee9cba87 sp 00007fffa07bfa00 error 4 in libc-2.10.1.so[7f39ee983000+166000] [ 3526.080477] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 3864292368 out of range (950000..2150000) [ 3526.080901] dvbstreamer[5891]: segfault at ffff80d6a2acd1d3 ip 00007f295d446a87 sp 00007fffe6f5e6f0 error 4 in libc-2.10.1.so[7f295d3fe000+166000] [ 3646.200040] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 2933978320 out of range (950000..2150000) [ 3646.200448] dvbstreamer[6100]: segfault at ffff80de779ca1d3 ip 00007f2188549a87 sp 00007fffaf826fb0 error 4 in libc-2.10.1.so[7f2188501000+166000] So each time before it segfaults it seems to scan a wrong frequency or so. I tried dvbstreamer-1.1 and dvbstreamer-1.2 both show the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks Willem Bleymueller |

DVBStreamer always requires authentication for some things (very weak just prevents some users from fiddling with the current service). Actions that don't have perform any state change don't require authentication for the most part (ie lsservices, lsmuxes etc) To authentication your client simply use the auth command: auth <username> <password> These will be by default user: dvbstreamer password: control or can be changed by using the -u and -p options when starting dvbstreamer. > Thanks, > Rob. cheers Adam |

Hi there. I'm trying to get the RCProtocol working on DVBStreamer on Ubuntu. I can connect fine, I can execute "lsservices" just fine, but when trying "select ABC1" (for instance) I get: RCProtocol DVBStreamer/1.1/4 Not authenticated! Problem is that I can't really find anything about authentication in the documentation, how does one authenticate? (Or set DVBStreamer such that it doesn't require authentication?) Thanks, Rob. |

Hey guys, Sorry I haven't been involved with the project for a while! I moved house last year to the middle of nowhere and we couldn't afford to replace the shoddy aerial until a few months ago, but anyway. It's great to see that someone else has taken over from where I had left off & look forward to seeing any changes. I'll try & work on improving the code that I had written {I think it's on SVN somewhere... Can't remember it's been that long!} when I can :) Cheers guys and keep up the good work! 2009/10/5 Adam Charrett <ad...@dv...>: > > On Mon, September 28, 2009 1:05 pm, Chris Allison wrote: >> Hi Adam, >> > Hi Chris, I meant to reply last week but time just seemed to disapper, > anyway.... > >> What is your vision for the web/ui part that is mentioned for >> dvbstreamer v2?
