Allright, this will be new for 3.6.0.
I am going to require that all plugins have the following naming convention (This is only if plugin writers want to use the new install method).
Basically, let's say you want a plugin called ShowMatches.
The zip file should be ShowMatches-Version.zip
It should have its main file be:
An install script should be named:
Basically, users will be able to download the zip file from sourceforge and directly install from the zip (or install from the zip from a local zip file).
This makes things much easier.
Also, the index file should be ShowMatches.idx, if you choose to include one.
If your plugin does not support Loading from Index,
simply do not include a .idx file in the zip.
Do you think I should keep the old method of installing (selecting a .py file) around?
