Hi, I have successfully checked out, compiled and installed the mga-0-0-2 branch, loaded agpgart.o and mga.o into the kernel, and here is what I got when launching X (in the logs) : (0): [drm] created "mga" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0" (0): [drm] added 4096 byte SAREA at 0xc5551000 (0): [drm] mapped SAREA 0xc5551000 to 0x40018000 (0): [drm] framebuffer handle = 0xe6000000 (0): [drm] added 1 reserved context for kernel (II) MGA(0): [drm] Registers = 0xe0000000 drmAgpEnabled succeeded (II) MGA(0): WARP Microcode Loaded Direct rendering not supported on this card/chipset And thus direct rendering is disabled... I have a G2OO (AGP), and the chipset on my motherboard is an Intel 440 BX. I wonder about the "created "mga" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0""... is that normal ? Is my configuration actually unsupported or did I misconfigured something ? Oh, and also : The server hard-lock after a few seconds or a few windows openned ;) Thanks for the help... -- Damien Chavarria. |
