It's the Xserver-side, the actual bit which implements openGL > commands in 3dfx, which is continually improving. Yup. Upgrading the kernel is kind of irrelevant (I'm still on 2.4 pre12 I think). The most important stuff is in DRI CVS. Upgrading the kernel but not upgrading XFree/libGL/tdfx_drv is useless. -- The more I know about the WIN32 API the more I dislike it.
