I have just gotten my DRI support installed and the DRI X server working. It shows the output that I expect it to when loading X. This includes: (0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler (0): [DRI] installation complete The old libs I still have around are in /usr/lib and they are libMesaGLw.so.3 libMesaGLwM.so.3 libGLU.so.1 libGL.so.1 is a symlink to /usr/X11R6-DRI/lib/libGL.so... On running glxinfo I get the following on stderr: libGL error: failed to open DRM: opperation not permitted libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering This error also comes up when I start quake-gl. What features do I need to make sure I have disabled in order to keep GL from falling back to software rendering? Do I need to run things SUID root? I feel that I'm getting close, but there is just one thing that I am missing. Shaun |
