Hello I'm using Compaq EvoN600C laptop with Mobility Radeon card. My system is Debian unstable with 2.6.0 kernel. When I was using 2.4.23 kernel I had the problem with DRI that caused X freeze when I run some application that uses DRI, for example glxgears or tuxracer. I was using the default kernel radeon module. The solution was to compile radeon DRM kernel modules from http://www.xfree86.org/~alanh/. After loading the compiled module, everything worked perfectly. Now I use 2.6.0 kernel and here is the same problem that was in 2.4.23 (this is probably some bug in all radeon modules included in the kernels). Unfortunately, modules from above site cannot be compiled under 2.6.0 and I can't get DRI working, it still freezes my X server :( I'm stuck and don't know what to do :( Any ideas? -- Best regards Rafal |
