I have update my kernel to 2.6.15-mm2 and installed udev. I have agpgart compiled into the kernel while drm is a module. The following two lines are the end of dmesg output, nothing else in that output is related to agpgart or drm. [drm:drm_fill_in_dev] *ERROR* Cannot initialize the agpgart module. DRM: Fill_in_dev failed. I now no longer see /dev/agpgart or /dev/dri. Xorg complains about the missing /dev/agpgart. Philipp |

With otherwise identical system configuration everything works fine with kernel 2.6.15-rc7. With kernel 2.6.15-mm2 I get the above two lines of error output when inserting the i915 module. In both kernel I have agpgart and chipset support for my chipset compiled into the kernel while drm and i915 are modules (from the kernel source, not from DRM CVS). Philipp |

This is due to some changes made by Dave J in -mm they are experimental and as such seem to be breaking things..
