It seems (I may be wrong, of course) that DRI driver for ATI
IGP320M chipset has some bugs... Is there place where I can
ask for help? There are few problems, I will list them in my
1. X server often crashes when running BRLCAD (CAD freeware).
Other OpenGL programs can also crash server to the point that
keyboard is locked. Kernel is still running and reboot is
possible when I log in from the network.
2. GoogleEarth window is fast but flickering when X server is
in 16bpp mode. OK but a little bit slow when in 24bpp mode,
however, GoogleEarth requires some trick (see attachment).
3. FlightGear runs slow (like no hardware acceleration) with X
server in 24bpp mode, much faster in 16bpp mode.
Unfortunately, ATI does not provide Linux drivers for this
chipset, so DRI module from Xorg is the only option...
