i have an Amilo A7600 notebook with the IGP 320M (U1) chipset. When I
try to start Xorg with DRI enabled, the system freezes. It happens on
Xorg 6.8.2 and CVS. I'm using kernel 2.6.12. I tried it with the kernel
drm-modules and with the CVS drm-modules.
When I look at the Xorg.0.log after rebooting I can't find any error.
Sometimes the log ends after a few lines (or doesn't even exist) and
sometimes it is very long.
The only problem I encounter is when loading the radeon module. In dmesg
1> [drm] Initialized drm 1.0.0 20040925
2> PCI: Unable to reserve mem region #1:4000000@... for device
3> [drm] Initialized radeon 1.16.0 20050311 on minor 0: ATI Technologies
4> Inc Radeon Mobility U1
5> [drm] Used old pci detect: framebuffer loaded
Perhaps the second line is the problem?
I also found this message in the archives:
Perhaps someone can tell me how to disable IRQ sharing?
lspci -v says:
1> 0000:01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon
2> Mobility U1 (prog-if 00 [VGA])
3> Subsystem: Fujitsu Siemens Computer GmbH: Unknown device 100a
4> Flags: bus master, stepping, fast Back2Back, 66Mhz, medium
5> devsel, latency 66, IRQ 5
6> Memory at f8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable)
7> I/O ports at b000 [size=256]
8> Memory at f0500000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
9> Capabilities: AGP version 2.0
10> Capabilities: Power Management version 2
I have changed the video memory to be 32MB by the way.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance.
