EMS:

any non null value in the config file results in 4Mo of
EMS memory. Is it for a certain purpose?

XMS:

When disabled, mem.com gives a
Multiplex Unhandeled call 4300.
(I'e noticed that the first MB of XMS is only 960 ko, I
assume that there is a good reason for this.

When both EMS and XMS are set to 0, the sierra setup
tools can still detect a "memory extention" (I've tried
with The incredible machine And Larry1 VGA remake).

ems doesn't use the actual size yet only checks for 0 to disable the
    loading of ems.
The unhandled 0x4300 call is the xms multiplex call
that doesn't get loaded when you disable xms. And there there is always
64kb less xms free because of the HMA area in the first mb of
    xms.

And i think the sierra installer's always show the extra
memory option even if you don't have any.

    I checked the cvs:
    EMS: memory size is used
so all the "bugs" are fixed.
