No

Attached is an ANSI graphic that in DosBox seems not to
display the rightmost column. A screenshot of the
behavior is at
http://dopefishjustin.is-a-geek.com:8000/stuffage/dosbox_windows.png

On a side note, this ANSI makes it look like DosBox is
running Windows! :D

I think the problem is that if a line break occurs before
every column has been used and a background attribute is
set, that attribute should be applied to the remaining
    columns also.

Hmm I finally got around to testing this on a machine with
real ANSI...it displays the same rightmost column effect as
    DosBox, so that's not a bug. :/

There is a difference with DosBox though - in real ANSI the
C:\> prompt at the bottom of the screen has a blue
background extending the entire width of the line. In
DosBox, only the C:\> is highlighted, with any letters you
type also becoming highlighted. I'll attach an admittedly
crappy photo of real ANSI in action.

Oddly enough the command prompt displays correctly on a
fully highlighted line if the type command is issued from
the Volkov Commander DOS shell. Perhaps it overrides
    DosBox's default shell somehow?

i think it projects itself by default on the last line.
I don't think we are doing it wrong. We are just doing it
differently. I don't think it will cause problems in any game.
But it's not entirely the same as "normal" ansi.

I'm convinced that the ansi emulation is allright.

Real dos just draws it prompt in a different way.
(it clears the line first and the draws it or so.

Will close it. but feel free to reopen it if you find something
    otherwise
