And to paraphrase what I've said before, that's simply because the only well-developed Writer so far is for HTML. Writers for OpenOffice XML or RTF will present their own challenges. I'm not concerned at all. I'm sure such a Writer will influence the Docutils document tree structure and system internals, and I welcome that influence -- I'm sure it will improve the system.
