From my experience, field lists aren't used much, except perhaps at the head of a document to define author, date, etc. I think I'm going to hijack field lists to do my special stuff. That way, something like: :video: video_file.ogg will render just fine in any output, and I can make it do the Right Thing in Bruce. And since the field can have multiple lines of content I can include significant amounts of information with them. I'd have "fields" for video, style, decoration, python-interpreter, etc. And yet they'll all render ... reasonably ... in other writers. Thoughts? Richard |
