Hi, have anybody information about the minimum NTFS rights on a Windows share?
User need have "read only" to protect for manipulations. Thanks!
Host: Windows 7
File Version: DocFetcher 1.1 beta6
The indexed documents need to be at least read-only for the user account from
which the DocFetcher program instance is launched, since these files might
need to be read out for display in the preview pane.
If you want to put the DocFetcher program folder on the Windows share, it
might get more complicated, since creating/updating/removing indexes requires
write permissions. I've never tried this (and I'm not using Windows anyway),
so I guess you'll have to try it out.

Hmm.. the indexed documents are on a networkshare. (The application installed
on a Client)
It only runs if the networkshare are writable - read only don´t works. (can't
The application need write permitions on the indexed Folder!? I can't protect
the indexed files for unwanted manipulation.
It's strange that you can't index your files if they're read-only, since
DocFetcher shouldn't modify any of them during indexing - only the folder
containing DocFetcher's index needs to be writable. Are you sure you've set
the file permissions correctly?
Assuming that you did set the permissions correctly, what kind of problems
and/or error messages do you see when you try to index the files?
