The problem is with the order of options of xsltproc, did you at all test it? Well, attaching a revisited Makefile. I assume you download the slides-3.0.0 package and extract it, then in its subdirectory demo you extract the files from slides-demo-3.0.0. However I couldn't figure out the use of parameters, so frames? still give errors and I guess produce wrong results. I'm not sure what to do about that. I have shell scripts for all the XSLT processors I use that take the same arguments.
