I propose that the DB stylesheets be extended to include processing instructions for epub and WebHelp output. The stylesheets currently only support dbfo and dbhtml PIs (which applies to both XHTML and epub outputs). The dbhtml PI must be split into other web-based formats - for example, dbepub and dbwebhelp. These two formats have sufficiently different output from standard HTML pages that they require their own PIs to customize output.

Can you provide examples of PIs that would be different?

If dbepub PIs are added to the epub stylesheets, for example, are you suggesting that dbhtml PIs should be ignored by the epub stylesheets? Or should both be processed in epub? In other words, replacement or extension?
