I am trying to setup DKIM-Milter. I am using Gentoo Linux. I have installed dkim-milter and configured it but when I send a test email to... aut...@dk... ... I get the following results... DKIM Test: pass DKIM Author Signing Practice: no DNS record ... so the email is being signed because it passes but it says I have no DNS record, but I do. It may be that my DNS is configured improperly. Here is my DNS configuration, I am using Bind... jasondkim._domainkey.jasoncarson.ca. IN TXT "v=DKIM1; g=*; k=rsa; p=key;" Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Thanks |

Yes, you're misinterpreting the result. > DKIM Test: pass > DKIM Author Signing Practice: no DNS record For DKIM to pass, obviously your DNS record is there or the process couldn't complete. The DKIM Author Signing Practise is a different DNS record, which you probably haven't published yet. |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Jason, The DKIM Author Signing Practice record is not the same as your DKIM domainkey record. The ADSP record looks like this: _adsp._domainkey IN TXT "dkim=POLICY" POLICY can be either "unknown", "all", or "discardable". You can see a description of these possibilities here: http://www.sendmail.org/dkim/wizard Hope this helps. Regards, Erik. Jason Carson wrote: > I am trying to setup DKIM-Milter. Perhaps it would reduce confusion if the the elandsys response had text along the lines of: DKIM Signature validation: Pass DKIM Author Domain Signing Practice: No _adsp DNS record d/ Erik Lotspeich wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hi Jason, > > The DKIM Author Signing Practice record is not the same as your DKIM > domainkey record.
