    Hello,

I've written and submitted a patch with Czech transalation of djview into SF Patches section http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1703546&group_id=32953&atid=406585 before one month. Would be a developer so nice and could he take care about it (ideally apply on the CVS)?

Thanks for excelent FOSS DjVu tools.

I wish it was gettext. This thing is hell.
If you ever translate things there,
do not waste time translating files other
        than libdjvu++.xml. These sometimes
appear in the viewers as error messages.

Also, I am in the process of switching to a new version of djview
that uses Qt4 and is compiled as a separate package.
        See http://djvu.cvs.sourceforge.net/djvu/djview/
        This uses plain Qt i18n.
        Compilation is straightforward (install qt4,
        install recent djvulibre, configure, make.)
There is a debian package in unstable,
but the cvs version works better.

Overall the plan for cleaning up djvulibre is as follows:
        - add a documented api to libdjvu (done),
        - rewrite the viewer to use the api and nothing else (done),
        - rewrite most command line tools to use only the api (partial),
        - wait until everybody transitions to Qt4,
        - remove Qt3 viewer from the djvulibre distribution,
        - cleanup the library while preserving the api.

In case you want to write translations for djview4,
I'll ask for your name and email to add credits in
the README files, and also to let you know
when I am about to release a new version and give
you a chance to update the translation files.

        Thanks.

        - L.

Can you give me an email address for a translation maintainer?

Also, there should be no need for your changes in
share/djvu/osi since you provide none of these xml files.
