  • Hi,
    I am running dimdim on a Moodle 1.8.3+ installation. The dimdim plugin work fine as long you are logon as admin but if you are logon as a teacher you can only join meeting - not start it.
    Is it a bug or have I missed something?
    It works fine as administrator.

    Best regards

      Hi Per,

      Thank you for your interest in dimdim.

      Two types of teacher roles are there in moodle.

      1)Teacher:Teachers can do anything within a course,                                              including changing the activities and grading students.

      2)Non editing teacher:Non-editing teachers can teach in courses and grade students, but may not alter activities.

      Please make sure that you have assigned the first role for your teacher.

      Please do let us know if this solves your problem.
      Don't hesitate to mail us at: support@dimdim.com

      Regards,
      Dipankar.

      Hi,

      If you are still facing the problem try this:

      Open "view.php" file it will be available at "\moodle\moodle\mod\dimdim" this location.

      If you are using Dimdim_Alpha_1_6_Moodle_1_7_Integration_Pack change the code segment

      if(isteacher($course->id))
      to
      if ($PAGE->user_allowed_editing())

      If you are using Dimdim_Alpha_1_6_Moodle_1_9_Integration_Pack change the code segment

      if(dimdim_is_teacher($dimdim))
      to
      if ($PAGE->user_allowed_editing())

      Please do let us know if this solves your problem.

      Regards,
      Dipankar.

    • The above suggestion works, provided you clear all your old entries dimdim directly from the database.
