Have built a CentOs 5.2 box with Dimdim 4.5 as per the ReadMe instructions included with the rpm.
CentOS is installed direct on hardware - just running Dimdim.

Everything works except the document upload feature.
failes every time with the same error - The document conversion failed with error: document id generation failed.

Have tried many differnt ppt + pdf files.
Tried from remote desktop, tried from on CentOS box console.
    Same error.

    have tried restarting the box.
    have tried
    ./StopDimdim.sh
    pkill soffice
    pkill soffice.bin
    ./StartDimdim.sh

    Still same error.

here are the results of a ls -l /usr/bin/so*

    Any suggestions?
    Thoughts?
Anyone have the same problem and manage to fix it?

Have checked that the office installation works.
Can fire up the various OpenOffice.org 3 applications from the GUI application menu, and they open up and work ok.
