I have installed 1.5.0_Alpha(020207) on a CentOS 4.4 server (port 80), jdk1.5.0_11. All looks good but I can't seem to find out how to enable full screen sharing. At the moment we get only a small'ish window in the centre that shows what is being shared.
I saw 'F5' mentioned in one of the posts but that doesn't seem to work.
I am sure this is very easy but everything is once you know how to do it :)
Thank you for your interest in Dimdim.
The current 1.5 build of Dimdim does not have the view shared screen in full screen feature.
This feature has been requested by a lot of members of our user community and we shall include it in the next release as a popout. Clicking on a popout link will open a new window which will contain the shared application in fullscreen.
The next release is in the final testing stages and will be released shortly.
Do you have a planned date for the next version? It would be nice to know so i can manage expectations.
Keep up the good work!
We are running final regression tests on the build.
If all goes well - the build should be in SF in the first week of April.
I hope this is helpful.
I have loaded 1.6 (looks great as usual) but still can't seem to get full screen to the clients.
How do you you share your desktop/files full screen?
I have just re-read your comment on the pop-out. I tried this but didn't seem to give full screen.
Thanks for the update.
The steps to get full screen are as follows:-
1)Start a meeting
2) Presenter uploads a presentation and shares it
3) Presenter clicks on "Popout". This will create a full screen window in the presenter side.
4) Attendee sees slide 1
5) Attendee clicks on "Popout" and gets a new full screen window.
Can you please let me know what happens in your case when you click on the "Popout" link?
