Here's just a few of the *Golden Pearls* I discovered this morning. 1. People don't buy from you because they understand you, but because they feel you understand them. 2. Develop 10 reasons why people should do business with you. Have a customers bill of rights. 3. Become a "Protector of Dreams" or a "Financial Checkup Doctor" in the minds of your prospects and clients. 4. Work ON your business instead of in it. Stop doing the $8.00 jobs...Hire an assistant part time to do the less productive task. You should have appointments every morning at 8:30 AM and 11:00AM. Do your paper work in the afternoons. (I learn that 35 years ago from my Insurance Manager who was 75 years old. 5. Get an appointment setter to work the phones three hours a day to book you two appointments a day.Use one of my award winning phone presentations. Pay her or him $10.00 per hour. 6. Do your highest-payoff activities every day and delegate the low pay offs. 7. The average agent spends less than 10% of there time in interviews...Double your efforts to spend 20% of your time in front of prospects. 8. Why would anyone want to do business with you. What makes you different from other advisors in your town. 9. What is your USP (Unique Selling Proposition). Do you specialize in IRA Rollovers or Tax Fr-ee Income Plans. Do you tell prospects you have saved other people in their community hundreds of thousand of dollars in taxes. 10. Do you have any idea the lifetime value of each new client you get. 11. What does it cost to get a new client. 12. Do you build relationships with your prospects and let them talk 80% of the time and you speak only 20%. 13. Do you provide outstanding service to your clients by staying in touch with your clients at least eight times a year. That's why our monthly newsletter is so powerful. 14. Undertanding that marketing is the fuel that runs the engine that drives your business, and it's the most important investment you can make in your practice. 15. Show me an agent who has only one spoke of marketing to generate business and I'll show you an agent who is almost unemployed or broke and can effort to invest $300 in marketing. Hopefully, his spouse has a good government job. 16. Set up an effective system to perform each function of your agency. 17. Take 25% of your commissions and put it back into marketing. I know one agent in Texas we call the *$200 Million Dollar Man* because he wrote over 200 Million in annuities in just 10 short years. From the start of his career he has taken 25% of his commissions and put it back into marketing. 18. Set up an effective referral system that makes it fun and easy for your clients to refer others to you. Our monthly newsletter with a *Tell-A-Friend* insert has been our best referral tool. Some agents get 5-7 referrals per week. 19. My most powerful phrases are "I'm just curious..." or "why did you do that..." Are you intersted in tax free income, would you like to know how to increase your retirement income by 20%, Would you like to save $1,000-$2,000 a year on taxes, how much of your estate do you want to protect from the IRS, Government or from greedy attorneys...All of it, part of it or non of it. Or for widows "Tell me about your family..." 20.When was the last time you recorded your presentation and let you respouse or friend listen to it. 21. How many motivational, sales and marketing books did you read last year.Are you ready one now? 22. Do you carry a 3 by 5 card in your pocket with the top three priorities you want to do daily. 23.
