Here's a good use for it. When you are downloading a file that has a time limit or files only valid during a session such as rapidshare/megaupload/etc. you can resume those files via wxdownload.
1. Download the File.
2. When the file becomes invalid (Wxdfast would say error copying file), "Stop" (not pause) that download, Right Click --> Properties of Download, Add the new download link and Uncheck the current download location.
