This email is to inform you about the release of version '4.17' of 'Stunnel' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/stunnel/ The changes in this release are as follows: Some bugs (mostly related to the compilation process) were fixed. The Win32 version was supplied with updated OpenSSL 0.9.8c DLLs. Upgrading is recommended. Release focus: 7 - Major bugfixes Project added: Wed, Aug 2nd 2000 18:06 (6 years, 1 month ago) Project description: The stunnel program is designed to work as an SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. It can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP2, POP3, and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs' code. It will negotiate an SSL connection using the OpenSSL or SSLeay libraries. It calls the underlying crypto libraries, so stunnel supports whatever cryptographic algorithms you compiled into your crypto package.
