We discussed about this last summer on the list.
Currently non-GPL Dansguardian is supposed to be part of DL.
Personally I like HAVP <http://www.server-side.de/>.
I compiled it on 2.6 kernel Gentoo and installed it manually to DL 1.2.6.
I've been running it ever since... Works nicely.
I used the method suggested in HAVP documentation to daisy-chain stuff th=
browser - non-caching squid-in - havp - caching squid-out - web server
This way Squid does all the ACL, authentication, logging, etc.
HAVP just sits in the middle and does scanning.
HAVP uses ClamAV libraries directly, so clamd in not needed, just freshcl=
