Dear freshmeat.net subscriber,
LevArris just announced version 5.0.3 of Bacula on freshmeat.net.
The changes are as follows:
Starting with this release, a problem creating a Volume Shadowing Snapshot on
Windows causes a failure of the entire backup job. Previously, only warnings
were printed. The Media page's columns can now be sorted in the "bat" GUI and
the Storage Daemon will now automatically update the Volume size in the catalog
after it loses communication with the File Daemon. This release also changes the
license of the project from GPLv2 to AGPLv3 and fixes multiple crashes and
memory allocation bugs.
Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup, recovery, and
verification of computer data across a network of different computers. It is
based on a client/server architecture and is efficient and relatively easy to
use, while offering many advanced storage management features that make it easy
to find and recover lost or damaged files.
