Dear freshmeat.net subscriber,
LevArris just announced version 5.0.0 of Bacula on freshmeat.net.
The changes are as follows:
This release introduces new features like File deduplication using Base Jobs,
restoring from multiple Storage Daemons, and Tab completion for the console.
Multiple bugs were fixed with the reload command, conio, the mail sending
functionality, and the Storage Daemon (deadlocks and race conditions).
Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup, recovery, and
verification of computer data across a network of different computers. It is
based on a client/server architecture and is efficient and relatively easy to
use, while offering many advanced storage management features that make it easy
to find and recover lost or damaged files.
