Dear freshmeat.net subscriber,
barsnick just announced version 2.22.0 of GLib on freshmeat.net.
The changes are as follows:
GArray, GPtrArray, GByteArray, GTree, and GMappedFile can now be reference
counted. The mainloop now supports per-thread default contexts. GIO now provides
types and methods for IP addresses and UNIX domain socket addresses. GResolver
provides asynchronous and cancellable APIs for resolving hostnames, reverse
lookup of IP addresses, and resolving SRV records. GIO was vastly enhanced. Many
other improvments and several bugfixes were made.
GLib is a library containing many useful C routines for things such as trees,
hashes, and lists. GLib was previously distributed with the GTK toolkit, but has
been split off as of the developers' version 1.1.0.
