I have a problem.
I am a novice programmer. I run Dev C++ on a Lenovo Yoga running Windows 8. Whenever I try to compile a program, an error window comes up and it says "g++.exe has stopped working. Windows is trying to find a solution for the problem.". Then, once it decides it has not found a solution for the problem, it says "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
G++ is the GNU C++ compiler, right? Well I don't know how to fix this or if the problem will be fixed in later updates to Dev C++, but do you guys have any ideas as to what the solution might be?
Also, since I am just a beginner, I probably won't understand any complicated answers so please try to keep it as simple as possible.
I am having the same issue and haven't seen a fix using the search. Really needing some help.
try this solution: http://sourceforge.net/p/dev-cpp/discussion/48211/thread/9b1f5cb0
"You may need to use the 64-bit version of mingw.
An updated version of dev-cpp is available at https://sourceforge.net/projects/orwelldevcpp/"
