#727 unable to use system ("pause") on win 7 home edition

need help on dev-c++ software...

i am unable to use the command

system ("pause") to pause the system after compiling. the system automatically exits even after i have type the system ("pause)

currently i am using Win 7 on my laptop. when i was using the software on the desktop with Win XP, it does not have any problems

please advise on how to overcome this,thanks
