What does it mean for example that G with hook is under public domain, and normal G not, or what about mute e. If one is under public domain, you can get the original glyh quite easy again, and would that make your original glyph suddenly public domain? Certainly not, but I really want to get rid of that twilight zone between the two, and have preferably everything under the same license. The Open Font License seems the one the community chose as the best free font license, as can be seen in all the latest font discussions. That's why the effort is being undertaken to get Vera relicensed under OFL for example. Though it must be said that it may be too restrictive for some. Anyway, your concerns will be taken into consideration. Nothing is decided either, but I think that at least something should be done about the current situation. Greetings Ben |
