[ddccontrol-users] samsung SyncMaster 971P - not recognized

Good morning,

I just installe dubuntu 9.10 on an ASUS laptop and tried to control my
external monitor Samsung SyncMaster 971P whith ddccontrol.

Both my graphic card (lspci give: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)) and the
monitor are given as supported by ddccontrol, but when i launch it
whith:

 LANG= LC_ALL= ddccontrol -p -c -d

it give this output:

As written in the on-line doc, it should not be necessary to load
i2c-dev, but, if I load it, the output change a little bit:

My connection to the monitor is analog and not digital.


I found a link where it seems that the problem is solved, but I don't
undertand how to do this...   :-(

What's wrong? Is there a solution?
