Problems mounting: "no free coda device..."

    After compiling the source code for neon-0.26.2 and davfs2-1.1.3 on RH 9.0, and following all the installation steps, I get some errors when I try to mount:

    /sbin/mount.davfs: No free coda device to mount.
    /sbin/mount.davfs: Trying fuse kernel file system.
    sh: line 1: modprobe: command not found
    /sbin/mount.davfs: Could not open fuse device.

      *Solved*

      I had to do a 'modprobe coda' before mounting.

      Hello Justin,

      thanks for the report. It's a bug in davfs2.

      davfs2 should
      - try modprobe for coda too (not only for fuse), so you don't have to do it manually
      - use the full path /sbin/modprobe, as on usermounts /sbin might not be in PATH.

      This will be fixed in the next release.
