Jim, We are most distressed by your announcement because a) DataVision is such a *useful* and *usable* product, and b) because of your willingness to answer our daft questions in such a timely manner! However, as someone who routinely takes on more than I can manage, I have to respect your positive decision to retire rather than slope off leaving us in the dark!! I am not into the code of DataVision; and I use it for Java/Swing applications, which I suspect is rather a minority usage. However, I have a working life's experience working with report generators, and I have developed some rather solid principles to which I think they should adhere. So I would be willing to do some configuration control work on the functionality and defects. Prioritising work, release plan etc., if this is of any use.
