Similar to bug #1277852.
When the server hosting Das Blog 1.8 is set to a
different time zone than the application's
configuration, entries may not be displayed when
viewing events or activity.
The server stores event entries in XML files where
one file contains one day's entries. However,
different time zones start and end days at different
times. For example, America/Chicago is six or five
hours behind UTC, so a new day begins UTC six or five
hours before it begins in Chicago.
The effect of this is that entries whose calendar day
is different in the server's time zone than in the
application's time zone are not displayed, even when
the server's calendar date is chosen. So, for
example, in our setup where the application is set to
UTC-06:00 and the server is set to UTC, yesterday's
(2005-12-19) activity log shows events from 00:00 LST
(06:00 UTC) through 17:59 LST (23:59 UTC), but not
from 18:00 to 23:59 LST (which are 2005-12-20 UTC).
The events are recorded properly in the XML log
files, however, and can be viewed either by changing
the application's time zone to match the server's.
This is solely an issue with the display of events
and not with the recording of them.
Suggestion: Convert the requested date to be viewed
into the server's time zone, then process the
request, reading preceding or succeeding log files if
