i am a great great fan of your ctags software and used ctags -e on
xemacs for years. I was just annoyed by an xemacs bug in find-tags and
tag completion for exuberant ctags not working. See your faq:
"5. Why doesn't Xemacs correctly locate the tag in the source file?
This has been observed with version 20.3. It seems that when Xemacs
searches for a tag, it searches using the tag name instead of the
search string located in the TAGS file. This is a bug in Xemacs and
does not occur in the GNU version of Emacs."
I fixed the bug, that you described in your faq#5.
If you set
(setq tags-always-exact t)
in your init.el file only the exact tag names are searched and if you
(setq tags-exuberant-ctags-optimization-p t)
find-tag is faster and the tag completion tables work with exuberant
The patch is now integrated in the 21.4 source tree of xemacs and will
be in the next release (21.4.16 i guess).
So if you could correct your faq#5 and add xemacs (www.xemacs.org) to
the list of supporting editors, this would be very kind.
